WeI would like to invite you to come and stay with us and learn English. We offer English language courses to suit your requirements and needs. We are located only a few minutes walk from the golden sands of Clifton Beach, one of the best beaches in Cairns Australia.

We are both highly experienced and qualified teachers. We have taught English in Russia, China and Australia for over 5 years. I have a University of Cambridge CELTA qualification and Olga my wife has 2 degrees in linguistics and has been teaching English, French and Russian for many years.

We only accept a maximum of 5 students at a time and our courses are customised to your requirements. Become part of our family and enjoy studying in a relaxed environment only minutes from the beach and only 25 minutes from Cairns city.

We offer you a very competitive option to studying in a normal English language school. Most schools in Cairns have class sizes of 14-16 students. We offer a class size of a maximum of 5 students. We accept only 5 students at a time and teach up to two different levels at a time. the levels are based on bookings at the time and can range from Elementary to Advanced. We also offer 1 to 1 (1 student and 1 teacher) or 2 to 1 (2 students and 1 teacher) intensive English courses.

Your English language course will be designed to improve your every day speaking, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation skills. We also offer courses in Business English and Specialised English.

Olga and myself have experience teaching students from Beginner to Advanced levels. We also have experience teaching speaking & listening courses, general English, specialised English, exam preparation (CAE, FCE & IELTS) and business English.

We can teach any level and any course to a minimum of 2 students. For example if you have a friend and you both want to study Business English, then we will teach a business English group.

Accommodation

Our home is located at Clifton Beach, only 22 kms from Cairns' city centre. You can get to the city in about 35 minutes by express bus. Our house has a beautiful large swimming pool, large outdoor entertaining area with barbeque, as well as a beautifully finished interior.

We offer you a choice of twin share accommodation ($350 per week) or your own room ($455 per week) in one of our 3 student rooms. The rooms contain single beds, bedside table, fitted wardrobe and ceiling fans.

The accommodation fee includes electricity and wireless high speed internet. Meals are not provided by us but you will have full use of the kitchen, barbecue and appliances to prepare meals that best suit you. Of course there will be times when we prepare meals together and eat the same meals.

Past students have told us that although they do enjoy Australian style cooking at times they do miss their own style of cooking and meals and often wish to prepare their own meals. For this reason and to save you money we have not included meals in your stay as you may wish to prepare meals the way you like them.

After class activities

My wife and I often go camping or fishing on weekends or into the city for entertainment. Many of our past students have come with us camping and enjoy the opportunity of experiencing Australian nature. We are more than happy to offer you the opportunity to come with us and share in our relaxation time.
